Amazing class with Christy, she is a lovely teacher and a super creative girl, wow! If I tell you before I love the mixed media now I love much more after taken the class with Christy.

Art Journal My first Calendar Page -

Hello friends!
I wrote about Art Journal and/or Smash Book last year (I really liked the two ideas). I have a lot of things to do on this new adventure on my craft life. As a child I always loved to draw and colouring. Also I love the idea of doing a journal (the word in Spanish is "diario")
A long time ago I took drawing and painting classes but didn't finish for personal reasons.  Scrapbooking made me explore different ways to do things... and now I'm joining the Mixed Media bandwagon.
I found a lot of links on Art Journal and many very creative persons doing this type of work. I found the

I want to start my art journal quickly event though I see this as a calendar... amazing idea!
After I read and saw many links on the topic, I decided to start on January of this year but changed my mind, and I started on December 2011. I want to remember some things that I enjoyed during that month.
This is my first two pages of my Art Journal - Calendar

**I did a collage on Christmas Tree with Scraps**

Supplies: Gesso, Glimmer, Distres Inks, Copic, Scraps, 

Flower and Corner Punch, Calendar Page Template.

I started with a lot of blank spaces for that month only writing the most important events, and all that I can still remember, lol!! My main reason to start this journal-calendar is because I went on a Cruise (Dec 26 to January 2). 
I hope to learn more and continue to apply the mixed media approach to other such as Scrapbook Layouts, Cards, Canvas, and other creations. 
Tomorrow i will take a workshop with Christy Tomlinson so I hope to learn more with this creative lady. She came to Puerto Rico to offer training on Mixed Media on friday to sunday (1-20 to 1-22) at LSS.
Be on the watchout for my new project during the next couple of days as I hope to apply the new techniques.

"Welcome to the Taste of Puerto Rico"

Hello followers and new visitors

Today I share with you that I call "Welcome to the Taste of Puerto Rico. If you live outside of our country Puerto Rico you should take the time to visit our enchanted island with beautiful places and an amazing beaches and also with great other places like "El Yunque" (you can go to this website to see more info.about "El Yunque").. don't forget to take the real flavor of puertorrican food. We have a lot of restaurant and other places to  test the rich taste of different foods.

* I rotate the sketch and work like this:

**I made the sky and the grass with colored pencils. for the sky and used a Tip that I before used on other cards, using a sponge and sky blue chalk in *colorbox* with a scallop circle (a half)**

El año pasado comparti contigo algunos enlaces sobre "Art Jounal" y/o SMASH BOOK (cuadernos construidos con papeles bonitos los cuales puedes hacer un tipo de diario con temas o simplemente hacerlos una agenda, en fin le puedes añadir lo que desees)

Otra vez hoy comparto mas info. Tengo algunas resoluciones para el 2012, yo quiero hacer y añadir a mi estilo otras cosas nuevas... Yo pienso que mi estilo tiene toques de simplicidad (algunos dias cambio y luce diferente) pero mas creativo (mi opinión personal) pero alguna veces es bueno hacer cosas  o añadir cosas diferentes, cambiar y retar nuestra creatividad.
Again  today I want to share some info. I have some resolutions on 2012 other new things, I want to do and add to my style... I think my style have a touch of simplicity (my own personal opinion), some days i change to made some different but very creative but some times if nice to do and/or to add some other things, change and challenge your creativity)
